Place to Mingle – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: [Insert Date]
Last Updated: [Insert Date]

Place to Mingle (the "Platform") is operated by Curative Designs LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit or use the Platform, and applies together with our Terms of Service, available at https://securetokenservice.com/Document/TermsOfService?clientId=placetomingle, and our Community Guidelines, available at https://securetokenservice.com/Document/CommunityGuidelines?clientId=placetomingle.

THE PLATFORM IS RESTRICTED TO USERS 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. See "Children's Privacy" below.

1. Information We Collect

- Account and Profile Data: information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, birth date, profile photos, and account credentials when you register or update your profile.
- Content and Activity Data: groups, events, RSVPs, messages, posts, and other content you create or interact with on the Platform.
- Location Data: if you use a feature that relies on location (such as finding nearby groups or events), we collect the location information your device shares with us through your browser's or device's own permission prompt; declining that prompt does not prevent you from using the rest of the Platform.
- Payment Data: when you make a purchase, our payment processor collects and processes your payment card information on our behalf; we retain records of the transaction itself (see "Data Retention" below) but do not store your full card number.
- Verification Data: if you use an identity-verification feature (for example, dating-profile photo verification), a third-party verification vendor processes a government-issued ID and a live photo to confirm they match; we receive and store only the pass/fail result and a reference id, never the ID document or biometric data itself.
- Usage Data: automatic data about how you use the Platform, including pages visited, time spent, referral URLs, IP address, and device/browser details.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: small data files placed on your device to recognize you on return visits, remember preferences, and enable features such as authentication and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Platform; personalize your experience; facilitate the groups, events, dating, and messaging features you choose to use; send transactional communications (such as account, security, and billing notices) and, where you have consented, other communications by email or SMS; respond to support inquiries; enforce our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Content Moderation Policy, including age eligibility and content rules; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and safety violations; and comply with our legal obligations.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information:

- With Service Providers: third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform (for example, hosting, payment processing, identity verification, email/SMS delivery, and analytics providers), under confidentiality and data-processing obligations appropriate to the service they provide.
- With Other Users: information you choose to make visible on your profile or in your posts, messages, or event/group participation is shared with other users according to the visibility settings you select.
- Third-Party Sign-In: if you choose to sign in using a third-party account (for example, Google or Apple, where offered), that provider will share limited profile information with us as authorized by you, and that provider's own privacy policy governs their handling of your information.
- For Legal Reasons: if required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public; or to investigate or respond to violations of our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Content Moderation Policy, including suspected illegal content such as child sexual abuse material, which we are legally required to report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline and, where required or appropriate, to law enforcement.
- In Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring or surviving entity, subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy providing at least equivalent protection.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies required for the Platform to function (for example, authentication and load balancing). We use performance and analytics cookies only where permitted, and where required by law, only after you have provided consent. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or any cookie banner we provide; disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

5. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and ongoing security monitoring. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator as required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, EXCEPT as described below or as otherwise required by law:

- Financial and Payment Records. Because we have a legal obligation to maintain accurate accounting and tax records, transaction records (such as purchase, invoice, and payment history) are NOT deleted when you delete your account. Instead, we perform an "identity detach": your payment method is disabled and its stored details are scrubbed, your billing-identity fields are scrubbed from the live record, and a minimal identity anchor (name, email, phone, and general location — not a full address) is retained separately, limited to what is necessary for our legal and accounting obligations. The underlying financial records themselves (purchases, invoices, payment transactions, subscriptions, and related history) are retained permanently as our book of account.
- Safety and Moderation Records. We may retain limited records related to content moderation, reports, or enforcement actions for as long as necessary to protect the safety of our community, defend against legal claims, or comply with law, including mandatory reporting obligations for suspected child exploitation. Our Content Moderation Policy, available at https://securetokenservice.com/Document/ContentModerationPolicy?clientId=placetomingle, describes these records and how enforcement decisions are made in more detail.
- Backups and Logs. Residual copies of information may persist for a limited time in backups or system logs before they are naturally overwritten or purged.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable law — for example, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended — including the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@placetomingle.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and some rights are subject to exceptions (for example, records we are required to retain by law, as described in "Data Retention" above).

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use legally recognized safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where required.

9. Children's Privacy

THE PLATFORM IS NOT DIRECTED AT, AND IS NOT AVAILABLE TO, ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete that information and terminate the associated account promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at legal@placetomingle.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above indicates when the current version took effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically. We will provide notice of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the Platform where required by law.

[EDITORIAL NOTE — NOT PART OF THE PUBLISHED POLICY, REMOVE BEFORE GOING LIVE:
This draft uses a SINGLE contact address, legal@placetomingle.com, for all purposes (DMCA per the
Terms of Service, security-breach notice, privacy-rights requests, and children's-privacy
reports) rather than separate addresses, on the assumption this is a small/individual operation
with one inbox. Split it into separate addresses later if that becomes useful.
ADDRESS PRIVACY: Section 11 above publishes 2009 Kelly Ave, Baltimore, MD 21209 as the mailing
address, per Kai's explicit instruction. If this is a residential address, publishing it on a
public-facing document for a social platform — especially one with a dating feature — is a real
personal-safety consideration on top of the legal one (Maryland LLC principal-office addresses are
themselves separately public record via SDAT, independent of what this document says). Consider a
registered agent service, commercial mail-receiving agency, or PO box instead if that becomes a
concern later; swapping it out is a simple find-and-replace across this file and TermsOfService.txt.
This document is now served SPECIFICALLY to Place to Mingle's user-facing clients (placetomingle,
placetomingle_ux, placetomingle_mobile — see ClientDocumentPolicy in STS.Data.Domain). Any other
client on this identity system falls back to the generic, non-product-branded default at
Docs\PrivacyPolicy.txt (one level up), so a second product going live will NOT accidentally
inherit Place to Mingle's branding or contracting entity.
This is a first-pass draft, not legal advice, and has not been reviewed by an attorney.]
